Since 1999, The Brooks Family Farm has been a hub of activity, with a wide variety of animals including NPGA Registered Pygmy Goats. The family's commitment to sustainable living and self-sufficiency is evident in their daily routines and practices. From tending to the garden to caring for the animals, each member of the family plays a crucial role in the running of the farm.
Living with autism can present unique challenges, and our family has embraced these challenges with grace and determination. By creating a structured and supportive environment, we have been able to provide our child with the resources and tools needed to thrive on the farm. From sensory-friendly spaces to personalized routines, every aspect of the farm has been tailored to meet the needs of our child with autism.
In addition, we are also raising triplets, adding another layer of complexity to our homesteading journey. Despite the demands of caring for multiple children, the family has found ways to balance their responsibilities while still finding joy in the simple moments of farm life.
We hope to serve as an inspiration to others who may be facing similar challenges. By sharing our story and offering guidance to those in similar situations, we hope to build a community of support and understanding for families navigating homesteading with autism.
Our goal is to create a space where all members of our family can thrive and find fulfillment.
